Defrosting the Refrigerator

• This appliance uses a static (fanless) cooling system and there is typically little air flow within
the appliance. There will be a small buildup of ice on the back of the appliance which is
visible. This is normal and no action needs to be taken.
• The plastic scraper supplied with this appliance can be used to remove a large buildup of ice
on the back panel of the appliance and/or freezerette.
• The freezer may occasionally have a buildup of ice. This is dependent on a variety of
reasons such as frequent opening of the door, humidity levels or seasonal changes. May
need to be defrosted from time to time or scraped out with the provided plastic tool.
• If defrosting is required disconnect the appliance from the power supply and gently wipe
down surfaces with a dry cloth. Place a towel in the appliance to collect any excess water.
