BEFORE FIRST USE
When using for the first time, wipe the surface of the plates with a damp cloth, then dry.
Note : Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful and will
disappear after a short time. Therefore, it is recommended to let your appliance work
empty for 10 minutes before the first use.
PREPARATION AND BAKING
Prepare the dough (there is some basic recipes in this manual but you can also use
other homemade recipes or liquid cake mix AND/OR powdered cake mix).
The baking plates usually do not need to be oiled, but If you feel the need ot do so,
we recommend to lightly brush the baking plates with butter, margarine or cooking
oil.
Pour the dough evenly into the notches of the bottom baking plate.
Do not overfill the plates, otherwise the dough will run out on the sides.
Close the appliance and lock the two halves of the appliance with the locking clip.
The red light and the green light indicate that the appliance is powered on and
heating.
The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is reached. During
use, this ready light will come on and off regularly to indicate that the thermostat is
regulating the appliance's temperature.
Bake until golden brown (5 to 7 minutes) : the baking times depends on the dough.
When the cupcakes are ready, remove them with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never
use any metallic objects to avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the baking
plates.
Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Pay attention not to get
burned.
Unplug the appliance and leave it open to cool down.
Basic Sponge Recipe
200g butter
180g caster sugar
3 eggs
Soften the butter to room temperature.
Beat the butter and sugar with an electric hand whisk until the mix becomes fluffy.
Add the eggs, the flour, the baking powder and the vanilla powder.
Keep on whisking until you have a smooth mixture.
Bake the mix in your Cupcake Maker.
You can vary this recipe by adding some cocoa powder and milk : whisk until you have a
smooth chocolate mixture.
You can also add ground almonds or hazelnuts.
Don't forget to garnish the baked cupcakes before serving.
250g flour
pinch of vanilla powder
1.5 teaspoons baking powder
