OPERATION
The A1051 Internet Firewall will block all traffic that is not vital for the operation of the DoorBird System by
default. However, in some use cases it might be required to allow DoorBird components or other devices (e.g.
other smart home products) on the "TO/FROM INTERCOM LAN/PoE IN" side of the device to connect to specific
destinations. For that purpose, it is possible to whitelist certain IPs or hosts. Please refer to the App manual
https://manual.doorbird.com/app for further information.
Home/Building Network
To also allow a local connection to a client that is not part of the firewall network (e.g. mobile device with DoorBird
App), the „Forward connected devices" function can be activated in the Administration section of the App.

ACTIVATE THE DEVICE
Disconnect all other DoorBird devices in the network from the power supply, before switching on the
power for the DoorBird Internet Firewall A1051.
Switch on the power leading to the assembly location. If the PWR LED does not light up, please check the
power supply. When using a wall-plug power supply and not PoE, please check whether you have connected
the positive pole and negative pole to the device correctly.
As soon as the A1051 Internet Firewall is fully operational, the DoorBird components that are connected to the
"TO/FROM INTERCOM LAN/PoE IN" RJ45 jack can be powered on. If they have been already powered up before
the device was fully operational, please reboot them.
Do not power the device simultaneously via the power supply from the power supply unit (mains
N OT IC E
adapter) and the power supply via PoE.
PWR LED
You can see if the device receives power by checking the PWR LED. The PWR LED lights up about 30 to 60
seconds after the device get connected to power and stays on for 5 minutes. For the connection status of the
device, please check the status display on the top. If the PWR LED does not light up, please check the power
supply. In case of PoE, make sure to use a compatible PoE device (https://www.doorbird.com/poe). When
using a wall-plug power supply and not PoE, please check whether you have connected the positive pole and
negative pole to the device correctly.
