ADVICES FOR A PROPER USE
• For a better use of your appliance, when you're done ironing, after turning the knob
(11) on "MIN", disconnect the power plug from the outlet and press the supersteam
supply button (12) for a few seconds to let the remaining steam come out.
• At first use, once the plate reaches the correct temperature, it is advised to iron a
common cloth in order to avoid that the processing residues stain the fabrics.
• To obtain an optimal steam quality, do not supply more than consecutive steam jets
after the indicator light (10) turned off.
• Start to iron clothes that need a lower temperature and then pass to those which need
an higher one. This expedient will allow to reduce working times and electric power
consumption.
• When the plate temperature is lowered wait for the indicator light (10) to turn on and
then to turn off again before resuming to iron.
• Due to the necessity to iron fabrics of which you don't know the composition or with
processes, embroideries, etc., start with a lower temperature working on a small hidden
zone, possibly increasing the plate temperature subsequently, if necessary.
• Due to the necessity to iron mixed fabrics, adjust the plate temperature depending on
the fibre which needs the lowest temperature.
• To iron velvet clothes let the steam iron slide following the "weaving" without pressing
it.
• A lot of fabrics are ironed better and more easily if they're not completely dry. For
example silk should always be ironed when its wet.
• In the case of fabrics composed by different fibres, always choose the temperature
required for the most delicate fibre, namely the lowest one. For example: a piece
of clothing composed of 60% polyester and of 40% cotton must be ironed at the
temperature indicated for polyester ( ) and without steam.
• When steam ironing wool pieces of clothing, some shiny halos could form on the fabric.
To prevent this from happening, keep a dry cloth between the piece of clothing and
the iron (8) while ironing or turn the piece of clothing inside out and iron.
