CARE, CLEANING, AND MAINTENANCE
1. Be sure the fan control is in the "0" or "OFF" position and that the fan is unplugged
before cleaning.
2. Access the fan blade by removing the front grill and securing screw.
3. Clean the fan blade, front and rear grills gently with a soft, moist cloth.
4. Replace the blade. Tighten the securing screw and securely fasten the front grill.
•
DO NOT immerse the fan in water. Never allow water to enter the Motor Housing.
•
DO NOT use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.
REPLACING THE FUSE
Before replacing the fuse, turn the fan off. Grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet
device. Do not unplug the fan by pulling on the cord. With the fan unplugged, follow
the steps in this diagram:
A.
A
Open the fuse cover by sliding the access cover on top of the attachment plug to-
wards the plug blades.
B
Remove the fuse carefully by gently pulling out the ends of the fuse from the recep-
tacle. Replace the fuse only with 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.
C
Install the replacement fuse by first placing the end of the fuse into the fuse recep-
tacle, which is opposite the blades of the plug, then carefully push in the other end.
Only push against the metal end of the fuse, not the glass portion.
D
Close the fuse cover by sliding the cover back into the plug until it latches in place.
Ensure it is completely closed.
Risk of fire: Replace the fuse only with 5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse. Do not re-
place the plug that comes with your fan. It contains a safety device (the fuse)
that should not be removed. Do not use this product if the plug is damaged.
