Setting Up the Timer for the First Time
Before initial use, if the LCD screen is blank, plug the power strip into an outlet for at least 30 minutes to charge the
internal battery. After the screen displays, the unit is ready for programming.

SET THE DATE
a. Press SET (D).
b.
c. Press SET (D) and then press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to set the month.
d. Press SET (D) and then press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to set the day.

SET THE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME (DST) FUNCTION
a. Press SET (D).
b. Press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to set the DST function to either AUTO mode or OFF mode. When DST is set to AUTO, the
timer schedule will automatically move ahead 1 hour on the Sunday of the second week in March at 02:00 am every year.

SET THE CURRENT TIME
a. Press SET (D).
b. Press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to set the hour. Pay attention to the AM or PM setting on the display.
c. Press SET (D) and then press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to set the minute.

SET THE ASTRONOMIC FUNCTION
a. Press SET (D).
b. Press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to choose your zone. Use the
map as a guide.
c. Once the zone is determined, the time will automatically set
the sunrise and sunset times.

(OPTIONAL) ADJUST THE SUNRISE AND SUNSET TIMES
a. Press SET (D).
b. Press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to adjust the sunrise time ±2 hours. Ensure the display shows AM.
c. (Optional) Press ON/OFF (A) to return to the original sunrise time.
d. Press SET (D) to begin adjusting the sunset time.
e. Press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to adjust the sunset time ±2 hours. Ensure the display shows PM.
f. (Optional) Press ON/OFF (A) to return to the original sunset time.

Programming On/Off Times
a.
b. Press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) until the display shows the DAY(s) you want the timer to function. Then press
SET (D) again. The options are: All days of the week, MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU.
c. Press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) again to set the event ON time.
d. Press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to set the ON hour or to choose Sunrise/Sunset. Pay attention to the AM on
the display.
e. If you selected the Sunrise ON time option, press SET (D) to set Sunset as the OFF time. If you did not choose
to use the Sunrise/Sunset times, press +/AUTO (F) or -/RDM (E) to set the minute for your ON time.

g. Once you complete the program settings, press and hold SET (D) for 3 seconds or wait for 10 seconds to
restore your programs and return to the current time display.
Using the Timer
a. Plug the timer into an outlet, and plug the devices to be controlled by the timer into one of the four Timer Control
outlets. (H).
b. Flip the power switch (A) to the ON position, and ensure the devices are also in the ON position.
c. Press the On/Off button (C) to turn the timer on. Then press AUTO (F) until you see AUTO displayed in the display. The
timer will operate based on the program settings.
Using the Random Feature
Random is a feature that will randomize your current settings either + or - 30 minutes, giving your

a. Press RDM (E) until RDM is displayed. The timer will operate randomly based on the program.
b. Press +/AUTO (F) to turn off the RDM feature and return to Auto mode.
Using the Manual Override
a. Press ON/OFF (C) until the ON indicator is displayed. The timed outlets of the timer will turn ON and remain so until the
mode is changed.
b. Press ON/OFF (C) until the OFF indicator is displayed. The timed outlets of the timer will turn OFF and remain so until
the mode is changed.
