1. Unplug. Allow Steamer to cool completely.
2. Remove Water Reservoir and drain all water.
3. Add Water Reservoir to Steamer and store upright.
To Remove Minerals and Sediment from Steamer
1. Add 1/4 cup (59 mL) white vinegar and 1/4 cup (59 mL) cold water
to Removable Water Reservoir and follow "How to Steam" steps
1-6. Press MAX ( ) Steam Button to quickly remove minerals and
sediment. This should take about 4 minutes. Do not steam clothes
with vinegar in Water Reservoir.
2. Cool completely and empty Water Reservoir. Rinse Water Reservoir
and add 1/2 cup (118 mL) water. Repeat "How to Steam" steps to
remove any remaining vinegar in Steamer.
Troubleshooting
Steamer is not steaming.
• No water in Water Reservoir. Add cold water and follow "How to
Steam" instructions.
• Steamer is not plugged into an outlet. Plug into outlet.
Water is leaking.
• Unplug. Check that Water Reservoir Fill Cap is secured in place. Dry
off Steamer. If leak continues, do not operate Steamer. Contact CHI
Garment Care.
Steamer is trailing or spitting.
• Clean Steamer by following the "To Remove Minerals and Sediment
from Steamer" section.
• ALWAYS empty Water Reservoir after each use. Water left in Reservoir
may discolor clothing or cause mineral/sediment buildup in Steamer.
