Adapters for wheels without
centre bore
In order to work on rims without centre bore or to
be fixed with the bores of stud-bolts or for example
motorcycle wheels, the MZV-p device can be replaced
with the clamping tool SCA, or with the "Motorbike base
Flange" tool respectively.
Before proceeding with the Adaptor, bring the
clamping jaws into release position (arrow, Fig. 5-9).
Release the Power Clamp device
Slightly loosen the two hexagon screws (1, Figure
5-9 – 13 mm flat wrench) and rotate the bayonet disc
(2, Figure 5-9) so that the screw heads can come out
easily from the tool body.
Use a plastic hammer to release the tool body from the
clamping cone (3, Figure 5-9) and pull it out until the
hexagon screw heads come out of the bayonet disc.
Pull the clamping device outwards (Fig. 5-10).
Operate the stop brake, remove the screws and the
clamping device by hand from the tie rod.
Mount the tool required (Figure 5-11).
For fitting the motorcycle wheel adaptor "p" see the
separate fitting and operating instructions.
Prepare the clamping device as described in the
separate manual enclosed with every device.
With the tie rod extended (2, Figure 5-11), place the
clamping device on the cone of the chuck (1, Figure
3
5-11) and press.
Screw the tape nut (3, Figure 5-11) supplied with
every p model balancer onto the tie rod to the end of
the thread.
Activate the clamping device.
So as not to release the clamping device and damage
the tie rod, set the operating mode C22 to "On"
(Disabling the Power Clamp device releasing).
