Safety directives and general instructions
Compliance with this safety manual is a
prerequisite for proper operation of the sprayer.
The pressure sprayer must be checked before
each use.
This pressure sprayer is suitable for applying
approved liquid plant protection, insecticides,
and weed killing substances, as well as liquid
fertilizers that are available from authorized
dealers. We recommend using only plant
protection substances that are approved by the
U.S EPA (Environmental Protection Agency).
The sprayer must be cleaned when changing the
spray substance. This avoids possible chemical
reactions.
Do not use liquids over 104°F.
Due to bodily hazard, only the abovementioned
liquid substances may be applied with this
sprayer. Disinfectants and impregnation
substances may not be used.
Never leave the filled and/or pressurized
pressure sprayer unattended for longer periods.
For safety reasons, children, young people
under the age of 16, and persons that are not
familiar with these operating instructions, may
not use this pressure sprayer.
The pressure sprayer must be kept out of the
reach of children.
The sprayer owner is responsible relative to use
by third persons.
The pressure sprayer must be de-pressurized
before disassembly of any component, and
before opening the pump, by pushing on the
pressure relief valve (a)! Before pushing on the
pressure relief valve (a), the sprayer must always
be in an upright position. Warning: keep the
sprayer away from your face!
Do not expose the pressure sprayer to high
temperatures.
For sprayer malfunctions of any kind, such as:
leaks at the tank,
signs of damage, cracks, etc.,
other irregularities,
pressure relief valve not working correctly
the sprayer must not be used until it is checked
by a qualified person.
The manufacturer was not aware of any harmful
effects on the product materials caused by plant
protection substances at the time the product was
manufactured.

The pressure sprayer must be de-pressurized
before disassembling any component, and before
opening the pump, by pushing on the pressure
relief valve (a)! Before pushing on the pressure
relief valve the sprayer must always be in an
upright position.
The pump must be removed in order to fill the tank
with the liquid to be sprayed. Do not use any tools!
Do not fill the tank above the fill mark maximum.
Model 403: 1.25 liters / 0.33 US.liq.gal
Model 404: 2.00 liters / 0.53 US.liq.gal
Follow the safety directives and only use the
correct chemical mixture ratios according to the
instructions provided by the manufacturer of the
spray substance!
Thoroughly mix the liquid, insert and tighten the
pump securely by turning clockwise.
Pressurize the sprayer by pumping the pump
piston (b) until the operating pressure is reached
in the container. To prevent over-presurizing the
tank, excess pressure will escape automatically
through the safety valve(a). Start the spray process
by pressing the shut-off valve (c). Releasing the
shut-off valve stops the spray process.
Cleaning, care and storage
After each use, release pressure, always keeping
the sprayer in vertical position. Empty the container,
carefully clean, and rinse well with clean water.
Remove any unused chemical after use and, either
store in a proper container or dispose according to
local and/or state requirements.
For cleaning rinse the sprayer using clean water
(add dishwashing detergent if required).
Occasionally clean the spray nozzle (d) with water
and a soft brush. Never use your mouth to blow
through the spray nozzle!
Never use caustic, acid-based or solvent-based
cleaning chemicals (gasoline for example).
When storing the sprayer, always empty and dry
the sprayer completely and store it in a location
that is dry, frost-free, and protected from direct
sunlight.
