CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Caution:
Always pull the plug out of the socket before cleaning and let the appliance cool down completely.
•
The appliance, the cable and the plug may not be dipped in water for cleaning.
•
The cable and the plug may only be cleaned with a dry cloth.
•
The outside of the appliance can be wiped with a moist cloth and subsequently carefully dried off.
•
Do not use any harsh cleaning agents for cleaning like steel brushes, scrubbing sand or other harsh substances
which could damage the surface.
Descaling
The appliance must be descaled at regular intervals. These intervals depend on the hardness of the water used and how
often the appliance has been used. In order to guarantee safe use of the appliance, any particularly obvious scaling
must be removed at once. Please do not use vinegar for descaling but rather a commercial descaling agent with a citric
acid base. Please follow the manufacturers specifications with regard to the dosage.
•
Fill the appliance to its maximum level with the descaling solution and leave it for about 1 hour
•
Subsequently boil up the descaling solution in the kettle and pour out afterwards.
•
After this, fill the kettle to its maximum level 3-4 times with clear water, boil this up and finally throw it away.
