▪ Do not store or use the tool and battery pack in lo-
cations where the temperature may reach or exceed
40°C, such as alongside sheds, trailers or metal struc-
tures.
▪ Do not attempt to connect the charger to a network
with different supply voltage, other than the specified
on the technical data label of the charger.
▪ The exposed contacts inside the charger can be
shorted by foreign material if the charger is plugged
into the power supply. Conductive materials should
be kept away from the socket (2) and the ventilation
slots. Always unplug the charger from the power sup-
ply when there is no battery pack in the cavity. Unplug
charger before attempting to clean.
▪ Always unplug the charger from the power socket

Additional instructions for
work with the battery pack
▪ The battery pack for this tool has been shipped in a
low charge condition. You should charge the battery
pack fully before use.
WARNING: If the battery pack is cracked or
damaged in any other way, do not insert it in the char-
ger. There is a danger of electric shock.
▪ Never attempt to open the battery for any reason. If
the plastic casing of the battery is broken or cracked,
submit the battery for recycling.
▪ Maximum durability and performance can be
achieved if the battery is stored and charged at ambi-
ent temperature 15ºC ÷ 25ºC. It is not recommended
to charge the battery at ambient temperatures below
+5ºC or above +40ºC.
▪ The charger and battery pack may become warm to
touch while charging. This is a normal condition, and
does not indicate a problem.
▪ To prevent overheating, do not charge battery packs
in direct sunlight in hot weather or near heat sources.
▪ Do not charge inside a box or container of any kind.
The battery must be placed in a well ventilated area
during charging.
▪ When the battery is defective, liquid can escape and
come into contact with adjacent components. Check
any parts concerned. Clean such parts or replace
them, if required.
▪ Do not incinerate the battery pack even if it is seriously
damaged or can no longer hold a charge. The battery
pack can explode in a fire.
▪ To facilitate cooling the battery pack after usage in
hot weather, avoid using the charger or battery under
metal shed or caravan without thermal insulation.
▪ When battery is not in use, keep it away from paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal
objects which may cause short circuit between bat-
tery terminals. Shorting the battery terminals may
cause fire or explosion.
