Under no circumstances may an unsuccessful ignition process be attempted multiple times. This may harm
the lamp and/or reduce the lamp life.
Caution: During the operation, the lamp body becomes very hot.
This lamp may not be re-ignited when hot. A cooling off period of 10 minutes must be observed. An attempt
to re-ignite should not be undertaken during this time period. This may harm the lamp and/or reduce the
lamp life.
Do not switch the device on and off in short intervals as this would reduce the lamp's life.
Avoid long periods of operation without a cooling off period, as the lamp life could be considerably reduced.
Even a slight rise in the operating voltage could reduce the lamp life considerably. The lamp may only be
used within the admissable voltage range.
The lamp life indicated by the manufacturer may never be exceeded. Keep an account, therefore, of the
hours of operation of the lamp,or control the possibly existing operating time counter in regular intervals and
replace the lamp in due time!
Never touch the lamp with bare fingers.
The lamp must remain dust-free and without oily residues during installment/replacement.
The lamp must be cleaned in regular intervals, in accordance with the safety precautions for installing.
If this lamp will be operated in any way different to the one described here, this may lead to dangers like
short-circuit, burns, electric shock, burns due to ultraviolet radiation, lamp explosion, crash etc.
Keep removed lamps safe in a splitter proof container and dispose of properly! Even a packaged lamp (new
and/or used) must be handled with care. Excessive vibrations could result in damages or a bursting lamp.
