Safety Hints
Place the barbecue in a safe and clear area when in use. Do not use it indoors or in
roof covered areas. Only use proprietary lighting aids. Before the first use it is
adviseable to heat the barbecue for approximately 15 minutes.
The firebowl will hold approx.2kg of charcoal.
Warning
Do not use methylated spirits, petrol, or paraffin to light or relight the barbecue.
It is adviseable to use an oven glove or long handled barbecue tools when cooking. Do
not attempt to move the barbecue when hot. Keep small children and pets clear of the
cooking area. Let the barbecue cool down completely before cleaning. Always take
great care !
Lighting procedures:
Set the barbecue up in a suitable position, on a level surface away from areas
likely to catch fire. The base of the b arbecue will get hot so ensure it on stamds
on a suitable surface
Place three of four lighting blocks in the cetre of the barbecue fuel compartment.
Place pieces of charcoal around each block in a pyramid formation.
Light blocks with a match or taper.
When burning is established spread the fuel out evenly.
Warming: The charcoal will be very hot so take suitable precautions.
Warming: Do not cook before the fuel has a coating of ash.
Never touch metal parts which my be hot..
