Electrical preheater – KWL-EVH 360/470 W
110 Functional description
The electrical preheater is used to increase the intake air temperature and it prevents the heat exchanger from freezing
at very low intake temperatures! The electrical preheater is controlled gradually to reduce energy consumption.
The electrical preheater is equipped with two safety temperature limiters. The preheater has a two-stage safety tem-
perature limiter (Auto reset = trigger temp. +60 °C) (manual reset = trigger temp. +110 °C). The first limiter resets itself
automatically, and it is necessary to isolate the unit from the mains power supply for around 5 minutes in order to reset
after the second stage is triggered.

Danger to life due to electric shock!
The unit must be fully isolated from the mains power supply before all maintenance and installation work and
opening the terminal compartment! The electrical connection must only be carried out by qualified electricians
The electrical connection must be fully isolated from the power supply until the final assembly!
Danger due to electric shock and hot surfaces
An external time switch must not be integrated in the unit supply line.
Unit damage due to the unnoticed resetting of the electrical pre-heater's thermal contact switch!
The unnoticed resetting of the electrical pre-heater's thermal contact switch can result in unit damage.
> The unit must not be regularly activated or deactivated via an external switching device (e.g. timer) in the unit
supply line.
The screws must only be screwed in by hand with a screwdriver The use of eg battery-powered screwdrivers
is not permitted
– Install electrical preheater
1. Unhook upwards and remove panel (magnetic).
2. Unscrew the screws in the unit door and remove unit door.
3. Remove intake air filter (see Fig. 1).
If the heat exchanger is on the right side of the unit (see Fig. 2), the silencer must be removed.
