If you will not use the heater for some time
and it is in an unheated area, with tempera-
tures below zero, then you must absolutely
drain the heater of water.
During installation arrange for this by connec-
ting the fi tting R to a drain valve.
To drain the water heater:
- Close the burner and turn off the power of
gas
- Close the valve upstream of the heater
- Open the stop valves down-stream of the
water heater
- Open the drain valve earlier connected to
the fi tting R.

RECIRCULATION
If your water system includes a circuit for re-
circulating the hot water, for the return line
you can use the same fi tting R used for drai-
nage. The circuit illustrated here indicates the
connections to make in this case.
