8 Decommissioning
8.1 Shutting down for longer periods
If the power supply must be shut down for longer periods, after use, it is recommended to:
1. Apply the extended storage procedure (see "Storage" chapter of the Operating Instructions).
2. Keep the power supply unit in its packaging.
3. Proceed with recommissioning according to the instructions in the "Operating" chapter of the Op-

To put the power supply unit back into service after a prolonged shutdown, carry out the complete in-
stallation of the product
8.3 Disposal
In accordance with directives on the treatment of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE),
and concerning the restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS), end-of-life products can be returned to
the manufacturer for decontamination and recycling.
The manufacturer shall only be required to take back equipment that is complete and unmodified, using
Pfeiffer Vacuum SAS original spare parts, sold by Pfeiffer Vacuum and including all assemblies and
sub-assemblies.
This obligation does not cover the shipping cost to a reclamation facility or services provided, for which
the customer will be invoiced.
