catalogue as an accessory, can be installed to eliminate the water
produced during the dehumidification process, conveying it by force
of gravity directly into a drain.
If the level of the dehumidifier is below that of the drain or if it is
located too far from the drain, a specific condensate extraction
pump can be installed. This is available in the catalogue as an
accessory.
4.4. FIRST START-UP
To start the machine, follow the instructions given in chapter 5.
However, before starting up the unit, check that:
• no external parts are excessively hot or at a high temperature
• there are no excessive vibrations or abnormal noise during
operation
• the drip pan is present and firmly in place: if it is missing or not
secure, the dehumidifier will not start up (paragraph 5.8)
Warning
In the event of a failure, contact the Service Department or
your distributor
5. ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM
The electronic control system manages the following main
functions:
• Automatic dehumidification - performed by the internal hygro-
thermostat
• Room air temperature control - the maximum setting can be
adjusted
• Digital display of precise humidity and temperature values
• Digital display of set control values
• Display of current machine operating cycles (fan, solenoid valve
and compressor)
During the various operating phases, the screen displays one or
more symbols telling the user which operation the machine is
currently running:
A
B
L-L 309.00-BM
C
D
EN
Even during alarms — when, for example, the drip pan is full or has
not been placed in the appropriate seat, or in the event of other
anomalies — the electronic control displays the symbols for the
current alarm. An acoustic signal warns the user of the anomalies
currently in progress: pressing any button silences the acoustic
signal without cancelling visual signalling of the alarm in progress.
5.1 SWITCHING THE UNIT ON
When the power supply cable is plugged into a socket or when the
power supply circuit breaker is switched on again, the control panel
fibre optics (F) lights up, indicating that the electrical panel is
powered.
Pressing button (C) and keeping it pressed for 2 seconds activates
the electronic control and the dehumidifier start-up cycle begins,
running until the desired temperature and humidity values are
reached. The screen displays the following:
• the set values, at the top,
and
• the
ambient
measured by the hygro-
thermostat, in the centre.
5.2 SETTING THE DESIRED PARAMETERS (RELATIVE HUMIDITY
AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE)
To set the desired temperature and relative humidity values:
• Press button (D) and keep it pressed for 2 seconds to call up the
screen where the operating parameters can be set. The humidity
value flashes.
• Press button (A) or (B) to set the desired humidity value to within
the dehumidifier's set operating range, i.e. between 20% and 99%
RH. This function enables the dehumidifier to properly run all
processes requiring control over relative humidity.
• Press button (D) to confirm the humidity setting and call up the
maximum operating temperature setting. The temperature value
flashes.
• Press button (A) or (B) to set the desired maximum temperature,
which must be within the dehumidifier's operating range, i.e.
between 4°C and 40°C. This function enables the dehumidifier to
properly run all processes requiring control over maximum
temperature.
Warning
To set the temperature measurement in degrees
Fahrenheit [°F] or degrees Celsius [°C], press button (C).
Warning
If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the electronic
control returns to the previous screen without saving the
settings entered.
