Batteries
The electric motor for the film transport, the light meter and the zoom motor are powered
by 1.5 v penlight batteries (we recommend Mallory batteries Mn 1500)
:
BAUER C2A: 4 batteries
BAUER C2B: 6 batteries
The cover
@
of the battery housing can be opened and closed with the aid of a coin
.
When you insert the
batteries,
make sure that their positive and negative ends meet the
corresponding pole marks in the
handgrip.
One set of batteries will run about 15 films
through a C 2 A and about 25 films through a C 2
B.
When the temperature is below zero
(when skiing) it is advisable to take along another set of batteries which should be
kept,
if possible, at body
temperature.
A green signal
(ill.
1) above the viewfinder indicates the
state of the batteries. When this signal starts flickering it will soon be time to exchange
the batteries. 'The signal lights up only at a speed setting of 18 frames per second. When
the green light dims out completely it is high time to insert new batteries. For shooting at
50 frames per second it is recommendable to use new batteries.
