5. When the desired depth has been reached,
clamp the riser to approximately 1.5 meters
above the borehole / water storage. Now drill a
hole in the riser about 1.2 meters below the
end of the tube. This ensures that the pump
drains automatically and can therefore never
freeze. Pull the drawbar out of the riser and
secure the protective hose with the adjusting
ring.
6. Turn the rod head onto the threaded rod.
Attach the loop of the string to the rod end.
Route the other end of the string from below
through the wire sock of the chassis.
7. Take the chassis and put it over the riser,
guiding the string through the wire sock in the
chassis. Firmly screw the riser onto the wire
sock. Using the string, pull the sucker rod and
rod end out of the wire sock.
8. Lower the chassis over the studs. Firmly fix
the chassis to the base plate by turning a cap
nut on both sides on the center stud. Now take
the black plastic cap and push it into the
chassis so that the level points to the outlet.
Guide the sucker rod through the hole. Place a
clinker or paving stone on its side on the base
plate.
9. Prepare the housing by mounting the
operating handle and removing the blind plug
with a screwdriver.
10. Remove the string from the drawbar and,
using a pipe wrench, grasp it firmly just above
the spout. Grab the housing and slide it over
the chassis until it rests on the stone. You still
have the pull rod with the pipe wrench.
