USING YOUR DuraMAX
#1 Connect hose assembly (as per Fig. 2).
#2 Open both tank shut-off valve and hose
shut-off valve.
#3 Open vent screw on fill cap.
#4 DuraMAX operates in a gravity feed
mode, therefore DuraMAX MUST BE
HIGHER than tank to be filled. Squeeze
pump handle repeatedly to start the flow
of fuel. Hold the pump handle to continue
filling. Let go of pump handle to stop flow
of fuel.
#5 Close vent screw and both shut-off
valves.
#6 Hang hose on hanger.
FILLING INSTRUCTIONS
#1 Lay tank in horizontal position.
#2 Ensure tank shut-off valve is closed.
#3 Remove fill cap.
#4 Pump fuel. - DO NOT OVERFILL
#5 Replace fill cap, ensure manual vent screw on cap is closed.
#6 Containers should never be filled in or on the back of a pickup truck, marine craft,
or any other vehicle.
#7 Fill the container slowly to decrease the chance of static electricity buildup and to
minimize spilling or splattering.
#8 NEVER smoke, use lighters, light matches, use cell phones or other electrical
devices while filling.
#9 Refer to posted warnings on dispensing pump.
LIFTING INSTRUCTIONS
#1 IMPORTANT-TANK IS HEAVY, DO NOT attempt to lift alone.
#2 Lay tank in horizontal position.
#3 Use top pull handle and hand holds on base to lift. ONE PERSON AT EACH END.
HOSE DRAINING INSTRUCTIONS
#1 Lay tank in horizontal position.
#2 Close both shut-off valves.
#3 Disconnect hose assembly and remove fill cap.
#4 Insert nozzle into fill neck.
#5 Keep valve above nozzle. Open hose shut-off valve.
#6 Squeeze pump handle repeatedly until hose is empty. Close hose shut-off valve.
#7 Replace fill cap.
DUE TO CONTOURS OF TANK, DURAMAX UNIT MAY NOT FULLY DRAIN.
