Cabin Air Filter Removal
The information below explains necessary procedures and tools to remove and install the Cabin Air
Filter (CAF).
NOTE: On some vehicles, there may be a lever to release the filter cover(s).
1. Remove the glove box door.
NOTE: Remove two screws that attach the glove box door
to the instrument panel.
2. Remove the panel under the glove box door.
NOTE: Remove three screws that attach the lower panel to
the instrument panel.
3. Release the two clips, then remove the filter cover.
4. Remove the upper cabin air filter.
5. Remove the lower cabin air filter.
NOTE: Move the lower filter upward, then remove from the
filter case.

6. Insert a new lower cabin air filter into the filter case.
7. Insert a new upper cabin air filter into the filter case.
8. Reinstall the filter cover.
9. Reinstall the lower panel under the glove box door.
10. Reinstall the glove box door.
Noise Test
11. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
12. Engine ON, A/C ON, blower speed on high.
13. Listen for any abnormal air noises from the air filter area.
