Cabin Air Filter Removal
The information below explains necessary procedures and tools to remove and install the Cabin Air
Filter (CAF).
1. Open the glove box door and remove
two glove box stops, located on each
side.
2. Remove the two bolts securing the glove
box compartment to the instrument
panel.
3. Remove the retaining screw, securing the
lower right instrument panel cover, and
remove the cover.
4. Remove the glove compartment frame
retaining screws.
5. Remove the glove box compartment
frame with the reinforcement bar.
6. Loosen the wire harness clamps on the
evaporator housing and reposition the
wire harness.
7. Remove the CAF access cover from the
evaporator housing.
8. Remove the CAF assembly from the
evaporator housing.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the seal
surrounding the CAF assembly.
9. Remove the CAF element from the CAF
assembly and discard.
