USE INSTRUCTIONS
Moisten the bottom of the suction feet under the base (A) and then place the appliance on a stable surface.
Connect power plug to a suitable electric socket.
The sharpening wheels that are situated under the 2 sharpening positions (C & D) will start rotating when the
switch (B) is turned on.
Sharpening in 2 stages:
Stage 1: Precision sharpening
Place the knife's blade into the first blade guide slot of the sharpening position 1 (C) (Fig.1) holding it only by the
handle. Pay close attention and keep the fingers away from the cutting edge.
Slowly draw the knife towards the direction of the handle and repeat 3 times.
The knife's cutting edge should be kept parallel with the surface on which the appliance is placed (Fig.1), except
when sharpening the blade tip.
To sharpen the tip, lift up on the knife handle slightly as the curved portion of the blade is drawn through the
blade guide slot.
The duration of each pass in each slot depends on the blade's length. It is recommended 1 second for every 4
cm of blade's length, 2 seconds for 10 cm, and 3 seconds for 15 cm, etc.
Repeat the same process in the second blade guide slot, always in the same sharpening position 1 (C).
Stage 2: Fine sharpening and polishing
Repeat the same procedure of Stage 1 on the sharpening position 2 (D).
Complete this fine sharpening and polishing process with one quick pass of approximately one second in each
of the blade guide slot.
Turn off the switch (B) and unplug the appliance.
Clean the sharpened knife with a clean damp cloth before use.
