COMPASS - TRUE NORTH VS MAGNETIC NORTH
Note: Traditional paper maps point to the true North. However, compasses point to
the magnetic North which is always moving. This margin of error is called declination.
Declination is an angle that measures the difference between true North and magnetic
North. Adjusting the MAGNETIC DECLINATION allows you to compensate for this variation.
Declination can change over time and distance. Make sure the source for your declination
settings is up to date. The following website is a good source for finding local Magnetic
Declination. http://magnetic-declination.com/
