Leave electrical installations to a certified specialist.
• Switch off the main switch and secure against being switched on again. Check that the wires
are volt-free.
• Use a screwdriver to undo the screw (2) which is directly on the device bracket. Remove the
bracket from the device by lifting the catch (3). Use a screwdriver to move the lug over the
nose. Be careful not to tear off the plastic lug.
• Use the bracket as a template and mark the positions of the drill holes.
• Use a 6 mm drill and bore at least 30 mm deep at the marks.
• Press the anchors in until they fully disappear into the wall.
• Feed the cable through the bracket and fasten the bracket to the wall. Tighten the screws
well.
The fastening set is intended for mounting into masonry. If you fasten the motion
detector to a different substrate or material, you may need to fit the type of fastening
OFF
accordingly. If you are unsure about the type of fastening, ask a specialist.
OFF
Depending on the cable thickness and screws selected, the diameter of the hole
must match the screw lead through and the cable seal. Note that the ingress protec-
tion rating (IP44) can no longer be guaranteed, if the holes are too big.
• Connect the individual wires of the cable in the terminal strip. Pay attention to the correct
polarity (see drawing).

Use a cable cross-section for the electrical installation that is suitable for up to 6.3
A (3G 0.75 - 1.5 mm
). Silicone coated cables are recommended. The use of rigid
2
lines may lead to broken cables. Use flexible lines. If terminal strips (included in the
delivery) are used, all (non-rigid) cables must have end splices. Check the crimped
cable ends. All wires of a strand must be enclosed in the splice in order to ensure the
total cable cross-section. The length of the wire end splice contact surface should be
6 - 7 mm. Undo the screws of the terminal strip and insert the wires until the insula-
tion sits above the edge of the contact surface inside the terminal. Hold in position
and tighten the screws. Insert the other strand into the opposite side as far as the
edge of the contact surface and tighten the screw. If you cannot push the wire into
the terminal strip far enough, check the length of the end splice. After assembling,
check and re-tighten all the screws.
• Push the motion detector into the bracket until it clicks and insert the screw (2) again.
• If necessary, change the bending angle of the motion detector.
• Install the lights and then turn the fuse back on.
Observe the type of lamp. The maximum switch power may differ depending on the
type of lamp. Do not exceed the maximum switch power.

Settings and Operation
a) Adjusting the delay time
By turning the "TIME" button, you can adjust the delay time between (-) 10±5 seconds to (+)
4±1 minutes.
The delay time starts only when no movement is detected within the sensor range.
b) Adjusting the brightness
The motion detector can be adjusted in such a way that lights turn on or off only at a certain
external brightness. Change "LUX" to ( ) for steady, motion-dependent switching and to ( ) for
switching operations at night. With positions in between, an individual twilight level can be set,
at which the lights connected will turn on.
The ratio of brightness and time will change depending on the season.
c) Adjusting sensitivity
To change the level at which a movement as such will trigger a switch-on operation, turn
"Sens"until it is between (+) and (-). For example, a cat should not trigger switch-on, but a
walker. Change the "Sens" position so that the desired switching level is achieved.
d) Setting procedure
• Turn "LUX" to ( ) and switch on the fuse. Wait for 30 seconds and adjust other settings. By
turning "TIME" to (-) the lights will turn on for 30 sec. (up to 60 sec.) without motion detection.
• Ask another person to move into the area of the sensor. Adjust "SENS" so that a switching
operation is triggered upon movement. If necessary, adjust the brightness "LUX" to define
when switching should be triggered. Wait until the ambient brightness is appropriate, turn
"LUX" to when switching should not take place and then a little back again.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the household waste.
