3. DIRECT PROGRAMMING
The code to program your device can be identified in the BRAND CODES sections of this
instruction, looking for the brand or, if you know the exact brand and model, through research
on line on the website www.visaelectronics.com , or even by downloading the electronic
catalogue from the website.
Switch on your device. Press the device key on your remote control for the type

of device you want to control for approximately 10 seconds. Release when the
device keys light up: the device keys start flashing
In the following 10 seconds enter the 4 digits of the code you have identified

The device key chosen emits 2 short flashes = OK
X Light / X Wire is ready to control the device you have programmed it for.
Note A prolonged flash emitted by the device keys at the end of the procedure signals an
error. Check to make sure you selected the right code and then repeat the procedure..
Try out the functions of the remote and check that your device responds to the commands. If
some of the functions do not correspond to your device, select other codes from the code
booklet until you find the most complete one.
You must repeat the operation for each available device key, and thus for each device to be
commanded
4. AUTOMATIC PROGRAMMING
If you do not know the brand of your device and have not found the code in the booklet:
Switch on your device. Press the device key on your remote control for the type

of device you want to control for approximately 10 seconds. Release when the
device keys light up: the device keys start flashing
Point the remote at the device and press " " followed by " "

(keeping both pressed down).
Always pointing the remote at the device, release "

Release " " when the device switches off or turns on a function.
While the device keys flashing, try out the functions of the remote and check

that your device responds to the commands.
a) If the device responds correctly to the commands Press the

device key of step 1:The code is learned and X-Light/X-Wire is ready.
b) If the device does NOT respond correctly: start over from step 2
Note The complete automatic search could last several minutes (even 15-20 minutes); in order
for it to be successful it is important to keep the remote pointed at the device. If you accidentally
release the "
" button (Off) before the device is turned off, or before a function turns on you can
continue the search process by starting over from step 2 within 15 seconds otherwise you
must start over from the beginning.
When the search comes to the end the device keys have no longer signals transmission. If the
device has not turned itself off, contact customer service
You must repeat the operation for each available device key, and thus for each device to be
commanded
