1 Unclip the battery cover on
the underside of the scale
by pushing the clip inwards
and then lifting off. Remove
the plastic film between the
battery and its connector by
pulling on the red tab
will allow the unit to function.
Note - During use, if the
battery symbol '
in the display, it means that
battery power is low and the
batteries should be replaced.
To weigh
Always place the scale on a
dry and flat surface prior to
weighing.
A rubber mat is supplied and
can be fitted to the surface
of the scale. This will help
to prevent scratching of the
weighing platform and will also
create a non slip surface for the
weighing container. It is ideally
suited for Kenwood mixing
bowls.
Press the 'on/zero' touch pad
to switch on. When the display
shows '0', place the item to
be weighed onto the platform.
The weight will appear on the
display.

The scale will read '
is trying to weigh above its
capacity.
To select weighing
units
After switching on the scale,
press the 'unit' touch pad. Each
time the touch pad is pressed
the weighing unit displayed will
alternate between g and lb oz.
To add and weigh
After the weight is displayed,
press the 'on/zero' touch pad
once and the display will flash
twice and then return to '0'.
Add the next ingredient and the
weight of that ingredient will be
displayed. This can be repeated
until all the ingredients are
weighed.

Note:-
Auto switch off:
Automatic switch off will occur if
the scale shows the same weight
reading for 3 minutes.
Manual switch off:
To conserve the battery power,
switch off the scale when not in
use. To do this, press and hold
the 'on/zero' touch pad until the
display disappears.

When removing an item from
the scale during add and
weigh, a '-' will appear in the
display to represent a minus
reading.
The maximum weighing
capacity is 8 kg. This is the
total weight of all ingredients
plus the weight of the
container.
Do not overload the scale
by exceeding the maximum
weighing capacity of 8 kg as
this may damage the weighing
sensor.
