UNIQ ME-TA
O
PeratinG mechanism
Unlocking
• Manual unlocking: shortly press the unlocking button (1) once.
• Automatic unlocking: the fusible link reacts as soon as the temperature in the duct reaches 72°C.
• Remote unlocking: by sending an electrical impulse (VD) or by interrupting the power supply (VM) to the magnet
connection.
Resetting
• Motorised resetting:
1. Switch off the power supply to the motor (ME) connection for at least 5 sec.
2. Power the ME motor (respect the prescribed voltage) for at least 45 sec.
3. The resetting stops automatically when the end of range is reached (damper open).
• Manual resetting
1. Press the reset button (6)
2. The LED (3) stops flashing once the reset is complete. Check on the indicator (2)
that the flap blade is in the open position
Caution:
i
Meaning LED (3) :
- Displays the position of the damper blade.
- If the LED (3) flashes quickly (3x/sec), a new battery should be used (battery is empty).
- A slow flashing LED (3) (1x/sec), means the rearming is in progress.
- 2 LEDs in the connection box indicate the voltage on the remote control input and the motor input. Lit: voltage on
the input. The built-in battery, which allows automatic resetting, guarantees at least 20 cycles for 2 years. Once the
mechanism is connected to the mains, it can be removed or left in place. If necessary, it can be replaced when empty.
i
Electrical connection :
- The connection must be compliant with NF S 61-932.
- When connecting the cables, it is necessary to use the cable-ties, as shown in the drawing included in the bag containing the
cable-ties.
- After operation, the end-of-range switches (FDCU and FDCB) need 1 second to take a stable position.
- Please note that the reset motors in our UNIQ mechanisms operate on 24V AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current),
and on 48V DC only. In DC mode, the power supply must be "stabilised". A power supply that is only "rectified" will not
allow UNIQ to be reset.
Caution:
i
The power supply of this actuator cannot be individually replaced. If the cable is damaged, the whole unit must be
discarded and replaced.
i
The housing of the mechanism contains a temperature sensor. When the temperature in the housing exceeds 72°C, the
mechanism unlocks. The LED flashes twice per second. When the temperature drops below 72°C, the mechanism can
only be reset in a motorised manner after a manual reset.
i
Make sure the thermal trigger device is present in the actuator. The actuator might not function properly if this is not
the case.
