IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons including the following:

Read all instructions before using appliance.
•
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
•
Do not immerse probe, cord or plug in water or other liquids. See instructions for
cleaning.
•
This appliance is not to be used by children.
•
Close supervision is required when this appliance is used in the proximity of
children.
•
Do not leave the appliance unattended.
•
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool to a safe
working temperature before installing or disassembling parts, and before cleaning
the appliance.
•
Always attach probe to griddle before plugging cord into wall outlet. To disconnect,
turn temperature control to the "OFF" position, then remove plug from wall outlet.
•
Do not operate any damaged appliances. Do not operate with a damaged cord or
plug, if the appliance malfunctions, or if it has been dropped, damaged in such a
way that use is deemed unsafe. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service
center for examination, repair, electrical or mechanical adjustment.
•
Do not use outdoors or while standing in a damp area.
•
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
•
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or
other hot liquids.
•
Use extreme caution when disposing of hot grease.
•
Do not use appliance except as indicated in these instructions.
•
The use of accessories not recommended by this manufacturer may cause
injuries.
•
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
•
The connector must be removed before the appliances is cleaned and the
appliance inlet must be dried before it is used again. Only the appropriate
connector must be used.
•
Accessible surfaces may become hot when in normal use.
•
WARNING: Charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this
appliance.
•
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not
play with the appliance.
•
Cleaning and maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older
than 8 years and above, under the supervision of responsible adult. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of reach of young children.
