Stage 3: Ion-exchange resin: Eliminates carbonate hardness in water (to
prevent formation of scales); eliminates heavy metals such as lead,
copper, mercury, cadmium, aluminium, zinc, etc, retains beneficial
substances such as calcium.
Stage 4: Filtration at base: The filtration net at the base provides the final thin
filtration.
The filter can produce 140L water. As normal 3-4L daily the service life is about
35 days.

Instructions for Use
1. Prior to the first use or change of the exhausted filter cartridge clean jug,
funnel and lid of the water filtering system with mild soapy water and rinse
thoroughly with warm water. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents or
scrubbing sponges, as scratch marks could be left on the water filtering
system. Jug and funnel can be washed in the dishwasher. The lid may not be
washed in the dishwasher.
2. In order to achieve best possible filtration performance, we recommend you
to put the new filter cartridge (A), in cold water for 10 minutes. Shake gently
to eliminate any air bubbles. The filter is now ready to use. (B)
3. Insert the filter by pressing down lightly on the mouth of the funnel. The
purifying filter must be inserted as far as it will go.
4. Then place the funnel and filter in the jug. Put on the lid and pour cold water
from the tap through the lid opening. The water will flow through the
purifying filter to the bottom of the jug. If the water should flow unevenly or
stop flowing, this means that the filter still contains air bubbles. Repeat the
steps given in paragraph 2.
5. After changing or replacing the filter, the first two filling operations are
intended to clean and activate granulate. For this reason, the water will
come out slightly darker in colour. Use the first two filling operations to water
your plants or just throw away the water.
6. The water filtering system is now ready for use.
