You have a lifting magnet from MITARI. We thank you for placing your trust in our product. This manual contains
all the necessary information for safe and optimal use of the lifting magnet. Please read the instructions
carefully and follow the directions. Keep the manual well and store it near the workplace.
Upon delivery, check that the lifting magnet has been delivered damage-free and complete. If you find that the
unit is damaged and/or incomplete, contact your supplier immediately.
These operating instructions should be read carefully by each user when first put into service. These operating
instructions should make it easy for the user to get to know the appliance, hoisting tool and use it for the correct
purposes. The operating instructions provide important information for the safe, correct, and rational use of
the device/lifting equipment. Your attentiveness helps to avoid hazards, reduce repair costs and breakdowns,
and increase the reliability and service life of the device/lifting tool. The operating instructions should always be
available near the use. In addition to the operating instructions and safety regulations applicable in the country
of use and deployment location, recognized rules for safe and competent work must also be observed.
General instructions
A permanent lifting magnet is a useful tool for lifting and moving heavy metal objects. Below are general
instructions on how to use permanent lifting magnets safely and efficiently:
Step 1: Inspect the lifting magnet
Before you start, carefully inspect the lifting magnet for any damage or wear. Check that the magnet is securely
attached to the handle and that all parts work properly.
Step 2: Position the magnet
Position the lifting magnet as close as possible to the center of the object you want to lift. This ensures even
weight distribution and reduces the risk of damage to the object or magnet.
Step 3: Activate the magnet
Activate the lifting magnet by reversing the lever or handle. Make sure the magnet is securely attached to the
object before you start lifting. Check that the lifting magnet is properly activated. Consider the force the lifting
magnet must be able to release. Refer to the diagrams in the manual for the minimum steel thickness of the
object to be lifted.
Step 4: Lift object
Slowly lift the object and make sure it is firmly attached to the magnet. Check that the object is well-balanced
and that there are no unexpected movements.
Step 5: Move object
If you want to move the object, do so slowly and carefully. Consider the size and weight of the object and make
sure you have enough space to move it safely.
Step 6: Deactivate the magnet
Once you have placed the object in the right place, deactivate the magnet by putting the lever or handle back
or pulling the trigger. Slowly lower the object and check that it is safely in place before releasing the magnet.
Step 7: Store the magnet
When you have finished using the permanent lifting magnet, clean the magnet carefully and store it in a safe
place where it cannot be damaged.
