MAKE SURE POWER IS SWITCHED OFF AT SERVICE PANEL
BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION.
SECTION 1
Preparing for installation
NOTE: Before installing soffit, make sure the range hood canopy along with all
ductwork has been connected and is properly installed and securely in place.
See "Range Hood Mounting Instructions".
1.
Unpack soffit from the carton and confirm that all pieces are present. In
addition to the soffit you should have:

9 - Mounting Fasteners
4 - #8 Screws
4 - Wall Anchors
1 - Instruction/Safety Sheet
NOTE: Some soffits may be shipped with a protective plastic adhered to the
soffit and/or brackets. It is recommended to leave this in place during installation
to protect from scratching. Remove before final installation of soffit.
2.
Determine the type of installation you require. If the soffit will be mounted
without any cabinetry on either side, proceed to Section 2 Installation
Without Cabinet . If the soffit will be mounted with cabinetry on both sides,
proceed to Section 3 Installation Between Cabinets (Figure 1).

NOTE: If the installation calls for the soffit(s) to extend all the way to the ceiling,
but the cabinetry does not extend all the way to the ceiling, follow the instructions
in Section 2 Installation Without Cabinet .
SECTION 2
Installation Without Cabinets
NOTE: If multiple soffits are required for your installation, they must be connected
together, before being installed to the hood and wall.
1.
Determine the location for the soffit brackets (Figure 2).
For 20" high soffits: 19.25" from the top of the hood canopy to the
center of the bracket.
For 10" high soffits: 9.25" from the top of the hood canopy to the center
of the bracket.
