physical injuries:
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed
to use the grass and hedge shear, unless they are supervised for their
safety by a qualified person or are briefed by the responsible person how
to use the unit.
Use the grass and hedge shear only for the intended use to cut grass
around flower beds and along sidewalks and trimming young shoots of
leaves, bushes, shrubs and hedges. Do not cut thick branches or similar
material.
Do not use the grass and hedge shear near flammable liquids or gases.
The grass and hedge shear is not designed for continuous professional
use.
Before using, check the grass and hedge shear for any damaged parts
and do not use the grass and hedge shear if damages are detected.
Do not work in the dark.
Wear suitable clothing.
Make sure you have a firm foothold when operating the grass and hedge
shear. When using ladder or scaffold, make sure they are stable and
cannot topple over. Always keep yourself balanced when cutting with the
grass and hedge shear.
Do not carry the grass and hedge shear with the fingers on the ON switch.
To protect the blades when not in use or while storing, always slide the
blade protection over the blades. Carefully handling of the grass and
hedge shear reduces the risk of injury.
The blades are very sharp. Do not touch the blades during use and keep
fingers, hair, clothing and similar objects away from the blades.
Do not try to remove cut material from the blades or to hold material to be
cut when the blades are running. Remove jammed material from the
blades after the grass and hedge shear is switched off. A moment of
inattention while operating the grass and hedge shear may result in seri-
ous personal injury.
Keep the blades always sharp and clean. Replace defective or completely
worn blades only with original parts.
