Charging the Battery
Charge the battery before first use.
In contrast to Ni-Ca or MH batteries lithium-ion batteries do not have a
memory effect. The capacity of other batteries decreases steadily but the
capacity of lithium-ion batteries does not decrease. The capacity remains
constantly until the electronics switches off.
The unit will stop abruptly, if the charging level of the battery falls below a
certain value. If the battery is loaded you can work for nearly 40 min.
Regardless of the charging condition, the battery can be charged at any time
without damaging the cells.
1. Connect the power cord of the charger with a
wall socket and the charging socket of the
grass and hedge shear. Some time later the
charging indicator lamp (2) lights red.
After charging the battery, after nearly 5
hours, the charging indicator lamp lights
green.
2. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket and remove the charger from
the grass and hedge shear.
Please note: The grass and hedge shear cannot be operated while charg-
ing process!
Removing and Inserting the Blades
1. Turn the grass and hedge shear upside
down and press the clip of the blade
cover (step 1) upwards. Hold the blade
cover firmly and pull the cover in direc-
tion of the arrow to remove from the
grass and hedge shear (step 2).
2. After taking off the blade you will see the gear wheels. Make sure that no
dirt, grass or leaves get into the gears.
Important! Remove any dirt around the gears.
