FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN ONLY - DO NOT REMOVE OR DESTROY
If any of the preceding conditions are not met, or
if the dryer Control Software ID listed is displayed
when the door is closed:
Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
Check that the wires between the door switch
and machine control electronics are connected.
See Accessing & Removing the Electronic
Assemblies.
If the connections are OK, replace the wire
and door switch assembly and retest.
If wire and door switch assembly have been
replaced and dryer still does not start, replace the
machine control electronics.
ACCESSING & REMOVING THE
ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLIES
There are two electronic assemblies:
the Machine Control Electronics and the
User Interface Electronics. See figure 12.
1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2. Remove the screws from the top rear of the
console assembly. Insert a putty knife between
the surface of the dryer top and the front corners
of the console assembly to release the retainer
clips that hold the console assembly to the
dryer top.

Removing the
Machine Control Electronics
1. Remove all the wire connections to the machine
control electronics. See figure 13, page 24.
2. Remove the screw holding the machine
control electronics assembly to the mounting
bracket, and slide the plastic tabs on the machine
control electronics to free it from the slots on
the bracket.
Removing the
User Interface Assembly
1. Remove the wire connection from the machine
control electronics. See figure 12.
2. Remove the cycle selector knob from the front
of the console by pulling firmly.
3. The user interface assembly is held to the
console insert panel by screws. Once the screws
are removed, the user interface can be removed
from the plastic housing. See figure 12.
