Cleaning and maintenance overview
Before lowering into the pump shaft
What?
Check housing, pressure hose, and cable for damage Visual inspection.
After removal from the pump shaft
What?
Clean the appliance.
Cleaning the appliance externally
Rinse with clean water. Remove stubborn contamination with a brush and detergent.
Submerge the pump in a container with clean water and switch on for a short time to rinse the inside of the
pump.
Note: Before using the pump again, first "soak" it so that any possible dirt residues do not block the
appliance.
Storing
If there is a risk of frost, dismantle the appliance and accessories, clean them and store in a place protected
from frost.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the appliance! Frost destroys the appliance and accessories, as these
always contain water!
Malfunctions and troubleshooting
In the event of a malfunction...
DANGER! Danger of injury! Improperly conducted repairs may prevent your appliance from working
safely. Such repairs will endanger you and your surroundings.
Malfunctions are often caused by minor faults. You can easily remedy most of these yourself. Please consult
the following table before contacting the vendor. You will save yourself a lot of trouble and possibly money too.

If you can't fix the fault yourself, contact your nearest vendor. Please be aware that any improper repairs will
also invalidate the warranty and additional costs may be incurred.
How?

• liquid temperature too high?
• blocking by foreign bodies?
Remedy
Check cables, plug, socket and fuse.
Eliminate the cause of the overheating and al-
low the appliance to cool down (max. temper-
ature of liquid: ► Technical data – p. 24). Actu-
ate the motor protection switch.
Rectify blockage.
Switch the pump on and off several times in or-
der to expel air.
Clean the pump.
Comply with maximum delivery height
(► Technical data – p. 24).
Rectify blockage.
Clean suction openings.
Straighten pressure line.
Seal pressure pipe.
Ensure there is sufficient liquid present.
