Assembly Instructions Fan / Blower is shipped strapped to cyclone barrel. It is NOT attached to the unit. You must bolt them together. 3. Attach front and rear braces to the plenum usings bolts, washers and nuts. Loosely bolt the braces to the plenum stand using one bolt. The plenum will hang down vertically next to the system. See illustration (3). Cantilever the plenum up into position and bolt the fan outlet to the plenum inlet with supplied bolts, washers and nuts.

Cleaning the Dust Filters on the Oneida Dust Collector May 7, 2020 Cleaning the filters on the Oneida dust collector is a job for 2 or 3 people. The only tools that are required are the ½ inch long socket wrench and the tall ladder. Before you start cleaning, turn the dust collector on and record the back pressure reading in the log. To take down the dust filters from the plenum, one person steadies the filter as the other on the ladder loosens the nuts on the mounting brackets. One of the portable roller stands may be used to hold up the bottom of the black plastic bucket under each filter while unscrewing the top clips. Be sure to start with the bracket farthest from you. Loosen the nuts and turn the brackets to release the filters. You do not need to remove the nuts from the brackets. Place the filters, with the black basket attached, on the floor. To clean the filters, first remove the sponge‐like, noise retarders from the top of the filters. Then place a piece of plywood on top of the filter, to keep the dust out of the room air, and blow the outside of the filter with compressed air all around and up and down. Hit the filters with the "bat" that hangs on the wall near the wide‐belt sander. The dust should be loosened from the filter and drop into the black basket. If necessary, use the chimney sweeps brush to clean the inside of the filters and knock the dust off the filter. It also helps to use a long stick to knock the dust off the filter pleats on the inside of the filter. To remove the dust collected in the black plastic basket, use a vacuum with a dust deputy cyclone to remove the dust from the basket. Don't empty the baskets outside into the trash bin (the connecting hooks have been lost that way). Vacuum the dust off the noise retarders, and reinstall them in the top of the filter tubes before installing the filters. When finished, empty the vacuum into the trash bin outside. To put the filters back up: One person lifts the filter to another on the ladder and then holds the filter until the person on the ladder centers it on the connection on the filter plenum. Then the hang brackets are turned to hold the filter up. Keep the filter centered on the flange in the collector plenum while you tighten the bracket nuts with the socket wrench. Do not over tighten the nuts. Overtightening just bends the brackets. When the filters are back up, turn on the dust collector and note the back pressure. Record in the dust collector log, which hangs near the dust barrel, that the filters were cleaned and the resulting back pressure reading. Don't forget to empty the chip barrel if it needs it.
