2. SITE PREPARATION
A. INSTALL ELECTRICAL SERVICE
Have a licensed electrician install a properly grounded,
grounding-type receptacle, protected by a Class A
Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupter (GFCI).
The electrician should locate the receptacle 6" (15.2cm)
above the floor line and 2-3/4" (7cm) to the right of the
centerline of the closet flange. The electrical cord length of
the toilet is 3' (91.4cm).
NOTICE: Follow all local electrical codes.
B. REMOVE EXISTING TOILET
NOTICE: Carefully inspect new fixture for any sign
of damage before removing existing toilet.
Turn off water supply.
Flush the toilet and sponge out remaining water from tank
and bowl.
Disconnect supply valve and remove old tank and bowl.
See Fig. #2 . Remove old gasket from the floor and closet
flange with a putty knife.
Remove old T-bolts (the T-shaped bolts in the closet flange)
and discard.
DANGER: Risk of hazardous gases. If new
toilet is not installed immediately, temporarily stuff a
rag in the closet flange.
C. ROUGH-IN PLUMBING
Turn off water supply.
Install or relocate supplies and outlets as necessary to
conform to roughing-in dimensions. See Fig. #3 . For
