Safety information
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including:

Always use the correct size and type of battery specified
•
Use good quality alkaline batteries. Follow any instructions
provided on the batteries and packaging.
•
Do not mix batteries of different chemistries or mix old and new
batteries. Replace batteries as a set and of the same type.
•
Remove the batteries if the appliance is not to be used for long
periods of time
•
Always correctly align the batteries: + (positive) and – (negative)
marked on the batteries and the appliance
•
Do not attempt to recharge a battery unless it is marked as
"rechargeable"
•
Under extreme conditions batteries may leak fluid which can cause
damage to the appliance and/or irritation to the skin. Avoid
contact and clean surfaces affected to prevent damage. Wash
hands thoroughly.
•
Batteries are subject to separate disposal requirements and should
not be disposed of in general household waste. Follow local
requirements for disposal
•
Ensure the battery terminals cannot be shorted by coins or other
metal objects.
•
Keep batteries away from open flames and do not incinerate.
•
Keep out the of reach of children
•
If batteries are consumed, seek urgent medical attention.
