Question/Problem - Cause
Cause
The laser does not turn on when you press the "ON/OFF"
key:
• The batteries are discharged;
• Reverse polarity of the alkaline batteries;
The measurement result is not acceptable:
• The laser beam outlet or the reception lens is fogged
up (fast temperature change);
• The laser beam outlet or the reception lens is
covered;
• Obstacle in the laser beam alignment;
The display shows an error message:
• 204 – Calculation error;
• 208 - Overcurrent;
• 220 - Discharged batteries;
• 252 - Too high temperature;
253 - Too low temperature;
• 255 - Reception signal too weak or measurement
time too long;
• 256 - Very strong reception signal;
The target surface reflects strongly, or the ambient
light is too bright.
• 261 - Out of range and measurement;
• 500 - Hardware error;
Solution
• Replace the batteries;
• Insert the batteries according to the polarity indicated
in the battery compartment;
• Clean the laser beam outlet and the reception lens with
a soft, dry cloth;
• Ensure that the laser beam outlet and the reception
lens are unobstructed;
• The laser must reach the target surface without any
interference;
• Use the measurer in accordance with the operating
instructions;
• Contact technical assistance;
• Replace the batteries;
• Use the laser distance measurer within the operating
temperature range 0°C - 40°C;
• Use a suitable target plate;
• Use a suitable target plate;
Reduce the light intensity;
• Measure within the range (0.2 - 20m);
• Remove the batteries and reset the measurer several
times after inserting the batteries. If the error persists,
contact technical assistance;
