Transmitting Message
|
Transmettre un signal
Press and hold PTT key and speak into the microphone. The transmitting icon shows
on the LCD screen to indicate transmission status. If PTT key is pressed and held above
3 minutes, transmission will stop and a warning signal sounds. Meanwhile, the partner
who is in receiving status will stop receiving. After releasing PTT key, warning signal
will be eliminated. Press PTT key again, and transmission will continue. Do not touch
the antenna during transmission.
Maintenez la touche PTT pressée et parlez dans le microphone. L´afficheur vous indique
l´icône de transmission. Si la touche PTT reste enfoncée plus de 3 minutes, la transmis-
sion s´arrêtera automatiquement et un signal acoustique retentira. En même temps, la
réception de l´autre appareil est interrompue. Relâchez la touche PTT pour couper le
signal sonore. Appuyez de nouveau la touche PTT pour continuer la communication.
Ne touchez pas l´antenne pendant la transmission.
Receiving a call

Recevoir un appel
Release PTT or CALL key and wait for a signal. The receiving icon appears on the
LCD screen to indicate radio is now in receiving status. You can hear the ring tone or
the voice of your partner.
Relâchez la touche PTT ou CALL et attendez au signal. L´afficheur vous indique l´icône
de réception. Vous pouvez entendre le son d´appel ou la voix de l´autre utilisateur.
Volume Level Adjustment
Press UP or DOWN key to set the volume level (01-07). We recommend
setting 03. Press POWER key to confirm the setting.
Appuyez les touches flèches haut ou bas pour régler le volume (01-07). Nous recom-
mendons la sélection 03. Confirmez votre choix en appuyant sur la touche marche/arrêt.
VOX

VOX
Users can talk and communicate with each other without pressing and holding
the PTT button. Press MENU key (9x) to enter the VOX setting. Press UP or DOWN
key to select the sensitivity level of the microphone: 01 = low, 02 = medium, 03 = high,
OF = deactivate VOX. Press POWER key to confirm the setting.
Remarks: The default setting of VOX function is off. As long as VOX function is
activated »VOX« appears on the display.
Cette fonction vous permet l´émission sans actionner la touche PTT. Appuyez 9x sur
la touche MENU. Grâce aux touches flèches haut ou bas, sélectionnez la sensibilité de
réponse: 01 = faible, 02 = moyen, 03 = fort, OF = désactivé. Confirmez votre choix en
appuyant sur la touche marche/arrêt. L´afficheur vous indique »VOX«. Indication: Le
préréglage de la fonction VOX est désactivé.
Auto Channel Scan

Balayage des canaux
Press MENU key (3x) to enter the scan setting menu. Activate channel scan-
ning by pressing POWER key. LCD screen will display scan icon and numbers of
successively changing channels. As soon as a signal is detected the channel scanning
will stop. Then the subcodes will be scanned automatically until a signal is received.
Confirm by pressing the POWER key. Scanning function can be stopped by pressing
any of the following keys: POWER, MENU, CALL, PTT.
Activer: Appuyez 3x sur la touche MENU. Commencez la recherche avec la touche
marche/arrêt. L´afficheur vous indique »SCAN« et le balayage des tous les 8 canaux
est effectué lorsqu´un signal actif est trouvé. La recherche s´arrête et continue automa-
tiquement pour détecter un signal actif CTCSS (l´un des 38 numéraux).Confirmez les
signaux trouvés avec la touche marche/arrêt ou terminez la recherche automatique en
appuyant sur les touches marche/arrêt, MENU, CALL ou PTT.

Monitoring
All signals (even weak ones) can be received in this channel if monitoring func-
tion is activated. Press MENU key (4x) to enter the monitor menu. Press UP or DOWN
key to select (M on) or close (M of) the function. Press POWER key to activate the
monitoring function. Now only the MENU key can close the monitoring function auto-
matically. If other keys are pressed (PTT, CALL, UP/DOWN) status remains unchanged.
Cette fonction permet de détecter les signaux faibles du canal actuel. Appuyez 4x sur
la touche MENU. Grâce aux touches flèches haut ou bas, sélectionnez et activez la
fonction (M on) avec la touche marche/arrêt. Maintenant seulement la touche MENU
peut terminer la fonction.
Key Lock

Touche Verrouillage
Press and hold MENU key for 3 seconds to lock the key. The LCD screen will
display the key lock icon. Now only the PTT and CALL keys can be used. The other
keys (MENU, UP/DOWN, POWER) are blocked to avoid inadvertent change of set-
tings. Repeat the above operation to unlock. The key lock icon disappears on the screen.
Activer: Maintenez la touche MENU pressée pendant 3 secondes. L´afficheur vous
indique l´icône de verrouillage. Maintenant seulement les touches CALL et PTT restent
en fonction; les touches MENU, flèches haut et bas, marche/arrêt sont bloquées. Pour
déverrouiller, maintenez la touche MENU pressée pour 3 secondes, l´icône disparaît.
Key Beep

Tonalité des touches
Activate/deactivate the key beep according to your own preference. Press
MENU key (6x) to enter the KB setting. Press UP or DOWN key to set the key beep
to be ON or OF. Press POWER key to confirm the setting. Remark: The default setting
of key beep is on.
Lorsque vous appuyez sur une touche, l´appareil émet un »Bip«. Pour activer/désactiver
cette fonction appuyez 6x sur la touche MENU. Grâce aux touches flèches haut ou bas,
sélectionnez ON ou OF. Confirmez votre choix en appuyant sur la touche marche/arrêt.
Indication: Le préréglage de la tonalité des touches est activé.
Roger Beep

When ending the talk the other user can hear the roger beep tone if activated.
Press MENU key (7x) to enter the RB setting. Press UP or DOWN key to activate (on) or

setting of roger beep function is off. As long as activated »ROG« appears on the display.

High Low Output Power Selection
Press MENU key (8x) to enter power selection HP menu setting. Select with
UP or DOWN key the high (OF) or low (ON) output power: OF = higher transmission
power, longer distance, but high battery consumption. ON = lower transmission power,
shorter distance, but low battery consumption. Press POWER key to confirm.
Remark: The default setting is off.

Communication Range

Portée de la communication
Up to 5 km in unobstructed clear conditions. Steel or concrete structures to each other
or heavy foliage may decrease the communication range. Clear areas (e.g. at sea, from
mountain top to mountain top) and radio communication at night improve the operat-
ing distance.
Jusqu´à 5 km en bonnes conditions sans obstacles. Les structures en métal/en béton ou
un feuillage très dense peuvent diminuer la portée de la communication. Si vous vous
trouvez en éspaces dégagés (p.ex. en mer, au sommet) ou si vous communiquez dans la

Confirm radios have the same channel and subcode settings. Make sure PTT is not
inadvertently being pressed. Obstructions operating indoors or in vehicles may interfere
with communication. Change your location. Check to make sure volume is loud enough
to be heard. Reposition or replace batteries.
Vérifiez que les radios sont sur le même canal et sous-canal. Vérifiez que vous n´appuyez
pas par erreur sur la touche PTT. Le fonctionnement dans des espaces clos ou à l´intérieur
d´un vehicule peut interférer avec la communication. Changez d´endroit. Assurez-vous
que le volume est assez fort pour que vous entendiez. Enlevez ou remettez les piles.
Hearing other conversation or noise on a channel

Confirm this channel or subcode is being used. Try another channel/subcode.

Limited talk range

La portée est limitée
Steel/concrete structures between each other, heavy foliage will decrease talk range.
Check for clear line of sight to improve transmission. Wearing radio close to body such
as in a pocket or on a belt will decrease range, change location of radio.
La portée dépend de l´environnement. Vérifiez que la ligne est claire pour améliorer la
transmission. Portant la radio près du corps, dans la poche ou à la ceinture risque de
diminuer la portée, changez votre radio de place.
Interferences

Interférences
Radios are too close to each other. The distance in between must be at least 2 meters apart,
increase your distance. Or radios are too far apart. Obstacles may interfere with transmission.
Les radios sont trop proches l´une de l´autre. Elles doivent être au moins à 2 mètres
l´une de l´autre, éloignez-vous. Ou les radios son trop éloignées. Des obstacles gênent
la transmission.
