4. INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION
PACKAGE CONTENTS
On opening the FIFTY TOP speaker and FIFTY SUB subwoofer package, check that no items are missing. The pack-
age contains:
•
power cable with POWERCON® TRUE1 connector
•
FIFTY TOP/FIFTY SUB
•
quick start manual and warranty documentation
•
raincover to protect the speaker from the weather
To help you make your system safe, you can download the .GLL file for the FIFTY TOP and FIFTY SUB created for
EASE FOCUS software from the www.dbtechnologies.com website. Once the file has been loaded in a project, the
user will be guided through the procedure for safe dimensioning and positioning of the system elements.
CAUTION!
Only expert personnel may use the product and its accessories! To prevent hazards to
people, animals and/or objects, make sure that the installation is stable and secure. Comply
with the safety regulations and laws in force in the country in which you use the product.
For safe use, periodically check that all parts are in good working condition before use.
Only authorised personnel may carry out design, calculations, installation, testing and
maintenance of professional flown or stacked audio systems. AEB Industriale shall not be
liable for improper installation carried out without adequate safety measures.
This section illustrates some installation examples. Also consult the instructions for the accessories, as well as any
prescriptions reported on the product labels.
STACKED INSTALLATION
In ground-stacked configuration (SUB + SUB + TOP) with
a maximum tilt angle of 10°, in compliance with the IEC
62368-1:2018 standard, stability is ensured by providing
additional fastening.
To ensure safety with this tilt angle, dBTechnologies
offers the DGS-FIFTYSUB stabilizer kit as an optional
accessory, which can be used with both single and
double columns. The kit includes four feet for ground
stabilization of the system and two V brackets to secure
the subwoofers together in the case of two adjacent
columns (as shown in the image).
The maximum limits for all the configurations according
to principle safety standards are indicated on the labels
and in the instructions of the accessories.
