Solution
∙
Remove vegetation from the fence (mowing, cutting back).
∙
Check whether the insulators are defective (recognisable by
"cracking" and possibly sparking in the insulator). Replace
defective and weathered insulators.
∙
Check whether the conductor material touches the ground (e.g.
due to breaks, insufficient tension). Repair the fencing, use
only special connectors and tension the conductor material.
∙
Check whether the conductor material has unfavourable
properties (thin conductor, high resistance). Use high-
quality thicker conductor material with low resistance.
Ensure high quality wiring of the conductor material.
∙
Make sure that the conductor material is not connected by
knots and that there is an adequate connection. Use suitable
special conductor connectors for the conductor material.
∙
Follow the tips in section 7.4.
∙
Check whether the earth rod is corroded. Replace corroded
earth rods.
∙
Check that the cables/connections are intact. Replace
defective parts.
