5. Maintenance to be carried out by the end user
To ensure the optimum service life of your device, it is recommended that you:
- Clean the outside of the pistons every two weeks with a dry microfibre cloth whilst inspecting condition of the
surface of the cylinder rods. These must not show any scratches as this could lead to leaks or damage the seals.
- Store the device horizontally on flat floor.
- Check the oil level in the reservoir at least twice a year.
Check the oil level:
IMPORTANT: the
minimum quantity of
oil in this jack must
always be 1 L.
Type of oil compatible:
ISO VG15
It may be necessary to bleed the air if:
1. The oil level in the jack has reached a level that is too low, which can lead to air bubbles in the pressure circuit.
2. A complete oil change is needed.
3. The jack has been stored upside down.
4. Here are the steps for bleeding the air in the overpressure circuit:
5. Ensure you have the necessary protective equipment before starting the job.
6. Position the jack horizontally - the bottom and the wheels must be touching the ground.
7. Unscrew the filler screw next to the cylinder. Be careful not to lose the seal.
8. Fill the reservoir with ISO VG 15 oil only. It is necessary to have 1 L of oil in the system.
Check the level with a dipstick. It must be within 15 to 20 mm of the edge of the thread of the filer screw.
9. Screw back the filler screw.
10. Connect the jack to a compressed air system (8-10 bar).
11. Bleed the air quickly from the jack by raising-lowering it 3 times with no load, to the maximum of the
piston travel.
12. Leave the jack in the raised position, with the cylinders fully extended. Leave the control on the handle
in the neutral position.
13. Unscrew the filler screw slowly paying attention to the slight pressure. Let the air out slowly so as to avoid any
oil being projected. When there is no more pressure, close the filler screw again.
14. Repeat operations 11 + 12 + 13 at least 4 times. Add the oil if necessary.
Before using the jack again, make sure that the filler screw is properly closed.
