The UV-C light filter must be placed so that it does not sink into the water.
It mustnt be used in the water, dont use under water!
•
Keep a distance of 2m to a pond, so that it is sure, that the unit can not fall into the water or is covered by waves.
•
Don't turn on before all parts are installed and water is running.
•
The voltage of the current source you use should be the same condition required on the nameplate. Are you not
sure, please contact with the professional people.
•
The current source should to have a FI- protective switch.
•
The current supply of the UV-C light filter does not being turned before the water-circulation started through the
unit.
•
Place the filter solid and safely. The crystal quartz inner can break otherwise.
•
When the UV tube or the quartz inner seems to have been broken, you can not use the unit (an electric shock
could result). The quartz tube must be replaced, it can not be repaired.
•
When people are in the water, this unit can not be used.
•
Never pull the cord around sharp comers or edges. Keep it away from heat and grease.
•
Never pull the item by the cord or carry it around by the cord.
•
Never pull the cord to unplug the item from an outlet.
•
Only pumps with max.1700Ltr/h production capacity (apply CUV211) will be used. Please observe the following
table for the other models.

When frost is coming, please remove this unit from the connected system, when you are using it for an outdoor
pond. Frost will damage the unit.
•
Dont expose to direct sunlight.
•
Pollution of the quartz inner can affect the effect of efficiency. Please clean this regularly.
•
Should the cover become clogged with dirt this can lead to a breakage of the quartz-inner. If possible you should
connect a filter in front of the water inlet.
•
To achieve the full effect, the UV tube should be replaced after 8000 hours of operation.
•
During the maintance work of the unit or during the repair and inspection, the unit must be unplugged.
•
For safety reasons the unit must always stand securely on a flat surface and we recommend to use the small
suction feet or screws to fix it.
Caution!
•
UV-C radiation is bad to the eyes and skin. Never look in the connected light or touch it. Because of
that, it's NOT possible to take out the UV-lamp in powered-state from the case. A safety mechanism
prevents this.
•
UV-C radiation can split oxygen atoms, resulting in the formation of the gas ozone.
