With the tool mounted for the drillling operation
and all the adjustment set for the application.
● Rotate the feed handle to advance the drill bit
on to the work piece.
The motor will progressively start and be
running at full speed after the tool has advanced
3.175 mm (0.125").
When the drill bit contacts the work piece, the
operator must consistently rotate the feed handle
to obtain the ideal feed rate for the material being
machined.
Should the tool start to slow during the operation
the operator should reduce the feed rate and in
extreme cases partially retract then, readvance.
Initial setting
● When received the tool will have the drilldepth
set to a maximum. It is recommended that
a trial drillling is carried out to determine the
amount of adjustment required.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Maintenance should be performed by qualified
personnel only.
● Prior to any maintenance task, disconnect the
tool.
Overhaul and preventive maintenance is
recommended at regular intervals once
per year or after maximum 1,000 hours of
use depending on which occurs sooner.
Lubrication
Oil
ISO Viscosity classified Oil ISO VG 15
for motors.
Grease for bearings
for gears and
bearings
for splines and
pinions
● Do not apply too much grease on gears or
bearings; a thin coat shall be sufficient.
Cleaning
Required:
1. Container to immerse components
2. Good quality clean paraffin
Cleaning procedure to remove chips
for configuration with spacer (optional
configuration)
The spacer is supplied in the tool box.

● Lift the circlip out of the groove with circlip
pliers and slide the circlip on the body.
● Slide the guard enough to disengage the pin.

Assembly and disassembly
● Follow standard engineering practices and
refer to figures/exploded view for the mounting
of component subassemblies.
● Wear protective gloves and eye
protection during cleaning the parts.
Eating or smoking is prohibited when
cleaning, dismantling or assembling the
tool.
● Dismantle the tool using the exploded view.
Clean all components and inspect for wear or
damage, exchange if necessary. Apply new
lubricant to the relevant parts in accordance
with list. Assemble the tool using the exploded
view.
Worn components should be carefully handled
and disposed of safety.
● Prior to putting the equipment back into
service, check that its main settings have not
been modified and that the safety devices
work properly.
The use of spare parts other than those
originally supplied by the manufacturer
may result in a drop in performance or
in increased maintenance and level of
vibration and in the full cancellation of the
manufacturer's liability.
According to Directive 2012/19/
CE concerning Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment (WEEE), this
product must be recycled.
