5 Commissioning
The commissioning of the Alpha IP system is described step by
step in this section. Further Alpha IP devices can be added and
integrated into the Alpha IP System after the commissioning of
the Access Point.
(i) The Alpha IP App is available for iOS and Android for a free
download in the respective app store.
(ii) An Internet connection is necessary for commissioning ans
operation.
5.1 Device set-up
1. Download the Alpha IP app and install it on your smart phone.
2. Open the Alpha IP app on your smart phone. The installation
is guided by an installation wizard in the app.
3. Connect the Access Point to the router using the supplied net-
work cable (see page 18 pos. D).
4. Establish the power connection using the supplied plug-in
power supply (see page 18 pos. E).
5. Scan the QR code (see page 18 pos. B) on the back of the
Access Point.
As an alternative, enter the device number (SGTIN) of the
Access Points manually in the app.

6. As soon as the LED in the system key (see page 18 pos. A)
lights continuously in blue, confirm this in the app.
In case of other flashing behaviour, follow the instructions
in the app or see error descriptions in section 7.
9 The Access Point will be registered to the server; this may last
several minutes.
7. Press the system key (see page 18 pos. A) after successful reg-
istration for confirmation.
9 The teach-in process will be performed.
9 The Alpha IP Access Point is ready for operation.
