Intended Use
The effect pedal is intended to be used for distorting the output signals from electric guitars.
Only electric guitars may be connected to the input, the output must be connected to a suitable
audio input on an audio device.
The device may only be powered by battery (for type, see "Technical Data") or by using a suit-
able plug-in power unit (for specifi cation, see "External Power Supply").
Any use other than as described above may lead to damage to the product and can also be
dangerous.
Always observe the safety instructions.
This product complies with the national and European legal requirements.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting dam-
age.
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases.
An exclamation mark indicates important notes, in these operating instruc-
tions, which should always be observed.
The arrow symbol indicates special information and advice on operating the
device.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation to the effect pedal is not
permitted.
• When connecting the effect pedal, pay attention to the safety instructions for the device to
which it is to be connected.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• Never pour liquids on to electrical devices, and never place any objects containing liquids
(such as vases) on top of them or near them. You run the risk of causing a fi re or a fatal elec-
tric shock. If fl uid does get into the device, immediately remove the battery or disconnect the
device from the plug-in power unit and consult a specialist.
• Do not place open fl ames, such as burning candles, on or close to the device.
• Only use the product in a temperate climate, never in a tropical climate.
• Do not leave the packaging material carelessly lying around since it may become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability In-
surance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are to be observed.
• If in doubt about how to connect the device correctly, or should any questions arise that are
not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or
another specialist.

• Remove the bottom of the case from the device.
• Pull out the battery clip from the case and remove the fl at batteries, if applicable.
• Attach a 9V block battery to the battery clip.
• Place the battery in the case and screw the battery compartment in place.

• To ensure a long battery life, only use alkaline types.
Alternatively, a power unit can also be used instead of the battery.
A suitable power unit has the following characteristics:
• Plug the low-voltage plug of the power unit into the 9 V DC input (1).
• Plug the power supply unit into a wall socket.
• If there is a battery inserted, it is automatically switched off. However, it should be removed if

Inserting/Replacing the Batteries
The effect pedal must be turned off when replacing the battery and no con-
nector may be plugged in to the INPUT (7) connection.
Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery.
Remove the battery when the device will not be used for a while.
Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. There-
fore, use suitable protective gloves.
