INSTRUCTIONS & WARNINGS
Read all instructions and warnings before using this product.
Failure to follow these instructions and warnings may result in serious personal injury or blindness.
These instructions should be retained for reference. Selection of appropriate personal protective
equipment for specific hazards and communication of all instructions, precautions and limitations
to the wearer are the responsibilities of user-safety specialists. Do not use any welding product
·
Always wear ANSI Z87.1 compliant safety spectacles in addition to any welding shield. Failure to
do so may result in permanent eye injury and vision loss. Follow the local Regulatory standards
such as CSA Z94.3 for Canada, EN379 for Europe or see your safety specialist for the appropriate
requirements.
·
Wearer is responsible for determining the appropriate shade filter for the application. If there is any
doubt, check with a safety official or consult lens shade selector (Figure 1). Use shade adjustment to
select appropriate shade required. Failure to do so could result in injury or vision loss.
·
This helmet does not protect against all hazards such as fragmenting grinding wheels, abrasive
discs, explosive devices or corrosive liquids.
·
Toughened mineral filter oculars shall only be used in conjunction with a suitable backing ocular.
·
This helmet and lens are not suitable for overhead welding applications.
·
Do not immerse the welding helmet or auto darkening filter lens (ADF) in water.
·
This helmet does not provide any protection from respiratory hazards. The appropriate respiratory
protection should be worn in conjunction.
·
While materials which come into contact with skin have been tested and found acceptable for skin
irritation, some susceptible individuals may still have allergic reactions.
·
Honeywell welding helmets belong to Class 3 protector, they are designed to protect the user's
eyes and face from sparks, spatter, harmful UV radiation and infra-red radiation during electric arc
welding, heavy gas cutting, plasma spraying and cutting, inert gas shielded arc welding and atomic
hydrogen welding, use of this product in any other application such as gas welding (oxy-acetylene)
or laser welding may result in permanent eye injury or vision loss. Class 1 and Class 2 protectors
shall be used in conjunction with recommendations for Class 3 protector.
