Once the screws have been removed, remove the
spray screen taking care not to lose the spring
(figure 4E) and the pin (figure 4D) located within.
It is now possible to remove the spray screen
(figure 4C) and the spray screen disc bracket (figure
4B).
Remove the gasket (figure 4A) taking care to follow
the assembly sequence.
Use the supplied brush to clean the gasket seat and
insert the new gasket.
Clean the threads of the spray screen screws (figure
4F).
Reassemble all the parts in the sequence shown in
figure 4.
11.4. Decalcification
Use commercially available, non-toxic decalcifying
(descaling) products for coffee machines.
Follow the instructions for using the product, listed on
the packaging.
Wait until the machine has cooled down.
Introduce the decalcifying product into the water
reservoir.
Switch ON the machine and press the deliver coffee
dose key
repeatedly until the reservoir is
completely emptied.
Rinse the reservoir and fill with fresh, clean water.
Press the deliver coffee dose key
until the reservoir is completely emptied.
In versions with a double heat exchanger (only mod.
3240/3245),
decalcification
separately for each of the two circuits. To decalcify the
steam circuit, repeat the procedure described above,
pressing the deliver hot water
repeatedly
must
be
performed
key.
12. DECOMMISSIONING
12.1. Temporary
Empty the water reservoir and the spill basin.
Close all switches and remove the power plug from
the mains.
Perform the maintenance operations.
Store the machine in a dry environment, protected
from the elements and with limited access (avoid
leaving it in the reach of minors or unfit persons).
12.2. Definitive
Besides carrying out the operations necessary for a
temporary stop, do the following:
Cut the power cable.
Package the machine in cardboard or other packing
material and send it to an authorised waste
disposal service.
13. PROBLEMS AND REMEDIES
In the event the power cable is damaged,
contact an authorised service centre to have it
replaced. The disposable materials used for
processing or maintenance, if non-biodegradable or are
pollutants, should be placed in separate containers and
sent to special waste disposal centres.
Inspections which can be performed by the user are to
be performed only after the electrical power supply has
been isolated.
A) The machine does not start:
Check that the plug is connected to the mains.
Check that there is power supply available and that
the residual current device is inserted and the main
switch is in the ON position.
Check the condition of the plug and the power
supply cable; if damaged have them replaced by
qualified personnel.
B) No coffee is delivered:
No water in the reservoir; refill with water.
Repeat the procedure for programming doses in
section 10.4.
C) No hot water or steam delivery:
No water in the reservoir; refill with water.
Repeat the procedure for programming doses in
section 10.4.
E) Irregular delivery of coffee:
Clean the filter in the filter holder.
The coffee grounds are too fine or too coarse.
